Shown is the Transmit Het PCB from the bottom side. All RF specific tuning
capacitors are of the dipped silver mica type. Just to the left of the
Transmit Het area is a drive system that connects to the front panel band
knob assembly. This provides a right angle drive to the band switches for
the transmit het section and the receive het sections. It continues through
the drive unit to a chain drive assembly that also is connected to switches
within the RF deck area. The shaft you see going over the transmit het area into the RF Deck is from the Final Tune dial on the front of the radio. |
