Hallicrafters FPM-200
Transceiver

Conclusion

It was an extremely rare and a once in a lifetime opportunity that Dick Schnell gave me to check out and work on this transceiver. Why? Well first off I probably would never be able to afford one as rare as this and I just really wanted to see what all the chatter was about. I was amazed. I am the owner of a great many quality vintage BA setups, including my late series Collins S-line (75S-3C/32S-3A) and Drake C-Line (R4C/T4XC). I even own other PTO driven rigs, beside the aforementioned, like my Central Electronics 100V, Collins 310B-3, Hunter Cyclemaster 20A and the little Ten-Tec Argonaut. I suppose trying another PTO driven radio was just an necessity to finally see if someone made a bad PTO rig. Well I'm still searching.

This transceiver has moved on to a new home in Texas in late 2005. I hope it provides many enjoyable years of operation for the new owner.
